PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Advanced, Open Water Diver program, is about exploration, Excitement, Experiences. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it; it’s designed to improve your diving, so you can begin right after gaining your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out various specialities while obtaining experience under the supervision of our PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop abilities as you discover new ways to have fun scuba diving.
Receive credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit to the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve previously taken a speciality diver course, ask your teacher if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.
About PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
You’ll plan your learning pathway with your instructor by picking from a long list of Dives. There are two needed dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation, and you want the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you master how to organise dives to deal with the effects and hurdles of deeper diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive improves your compass navigation abilities and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get differ with your interest and the experiences you have. Photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring shipwrecks and many more. You may be able to get college credit for the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
