PADI Open Water Diver Course

To enrol in an Open Water Diver program or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be ten years old or older. You need adequate swimming abilities and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

About Open Water Diver Course

Academics

PADI’s Online Training course is designed so that you can learn the academics at your own pace when it is suitable for you. You can complete the academics at our PADI Dive Resort.

Equipment

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you get to use essential scuba equipment, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control and a tank. The gear you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in the tropical, temperate or cold water.

Pool Training

When you’re fitted with your scuba gear, you can begin your pool training. Your teacher will put into practice the procedures you learned in the academics course. Your education dives will be logged and approved by your teacher before you jump on to open water.

Open Water Training

Experience everything you’ve studied with the freedom of open water. As soon as your instructor approves your open water training dives, you will be a certified diver. PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognised globally, so your diving experiences will be limitless.
